Glutathione Beads is an affinity chromatography medium designed for the high performance purification of recombinant glutathione S-transferase (GST) fusion proteins and glutathione-binding proteins expressed in E.coli and mammalian cells.
GST-tagged proteins binds to the glutathione ligand with high affinity. The coupling of glutathione ligand to 4% agarose beads optimized the binding capacity for GST-tagged proteins and other glutathione-binding proteins. Elution of the GST-tagged proteins are performed under mild and non-denaturing conditions, with Elution Buffer containing reduced glutathione, to preserve the protein antigenicity and functions.
