Ni Smart Beads 6FF is a new immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography (IMAC) medium designed for the purification of histidine-tagged proteins in eukaryotic cell culture supernatant (i.e. mammalian and insect). The Ni Smart Beads 6FF is pre-charged with nickel ions through a proprietary, chemically stable linker technology. The strong binding between nickel ions and His-tagged proteins provides excellent resistance against EDTA and reducing agents (i.e. DTT and β-mercaptoethanol). Unlike conventional IMAC mediums, direct loading of large amounts of untreated culture samples is possible in Ni Smart Beads 6FF, without requiring a preceding step to eliminate EDTA and other nickel-chelating agents.
