Streptavidin Beads 6FF is an affinity chromatography medium designed for the efficient purification of biotin and biotinylated substances. Streptavidin Beads 6FF is composed of the coupling of isolated streptavidin from Streptomyces avidinii to highly cross-linked 6% agarose base matrix. The base matrix of Streptavidin Beads 6FF optimized the flow properties and high physical and chemical stability, of which are cost-effective and efficient for large-scale usage.
The strong interaction between the immobilized streptavidin ligand and biotin require denaturing conditions for elution, and may result in the elimination of the ligand-sample complex. Streptavidin Beads 6FF can be alternatively used for the purification of biotinylated antibody to incubated antigens.
